Augsburgh Pistols

A Fine Pair of Original Flintlock, American Revolutionary Era
Officer's Pistols By Andreas Gans, Augsburgh, Bavaria. Made
Circa: 1740-1760. They Represent The Classic Germanic Style
of The Early To Mid 1700's. The Augsburgh Marked Locks Are in
Beautiful, Completely Original Condition With All Markings Sharp
and Clear. One Pistol Has Evidence of a Very Old and Minor Wood
Repair At The Wrist. The 1/2 Octagon, 1/2 Round Barrels Are 7/12"
Long With Very Deep Rifling As Shown in The Photograph. I Believe
The Wood Has a Very Light Varnish From Many Years Ago. The
Original Staghorn Caps Are Still Attached To The Wood at The
Muzzles. The Pleasant Patina Found on The Barrels From Age,
Gives These 265 Year Old Pistols Their Warmth and Value. Before
The American Revolution These Officer Style Pistols Belonged
To Someone in History. The Present and Next Owners Are Only
Caretakers in Our Time.

$3,100.00
